ABOUT US

45+ Not Grumpy was formed in 2013 by Dee after she moved to London from Dorset. There was not a lot on offer for those over 45 so Dee started 45+ Not Grumpy with the ethos: "I am going out and if any of my Non Grumpy friends would like to join me, please do."

Today we have a number of event leaders and organise over 200 trips every year. Wonderful friendships have been made and many people have told us how 45+ has made a difference.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a social, friendly and uncomplicated time out, nearly every day of the year. There are walks, gallery visits, river trips, historic houses to visit, wine-tasting, swim events, recitals, jazz music, river strolls, theatre, meals out, cycle rides and so much more. We also host holidays away together throughout the UK and abroad.

You can just choose whatever you fancy from the long list of day trips and holidays. We keep the numbers low, usually around 20, so that everyone has a chance to meet the others, chat and hopefully find someone they like to converse with. You can join in as much or as little as you wish. You are an adult and can exercise your choices. Nothing is obligatory.

WHY NOT GRUMPY 45-PLUS?

The fact that we are mostly over 45 means that we have a common history and understanding of life. We can identify with much that others share. We welcome everyone and respect them for who they are. We have all chosen to share a specific day out together and that gives us lots of things to enjoy collectively.

HOW IT WORKS

Choose from a huge array of days out and sign up. With holidays you will be required to pay a deposit with the booking. All details will be posted or emailed so you have all the information you will need.
