15.00 - 17.00 Join me at the Town of Ramsgate pub in Wapping for an afternoon of chat and storytelling in one of London's oldest riverside pubs. Hear the storied past of the Town of Ramsgate Pub and the figures associated with it, including Captain Kidd, Captain Bligh and "Hanging Judge" Jeffreys.
The nearest station is Wapping on the Overground Line, 5 mins walk, or a 10 minute walk from Shadwell DLR station. The 100 bus from the city will also drop you just a little before the front door.
Find me at the table in the window, where we will have lunch, then I will tell some stories of the pub's past which stretches all the way back to the Wars of the Roses. After a visit to Execution Dock out the back, we will resume our stories and get some drinks for a chat.
