MID-WEEK with Di-from Benfleet to Hadleigh Castle to Leigh-on-Sea.
Another out of town walk over decent, though possibly muddy, country paths and further than my normal walks but the view of the estuary from the castle is certainly worth the climb.
11:45 Meet at the front entrance to Benfleet station and let's explore!
We will walk across country to the Salvation Army Hadleigh Farm Rare Breeds Centre's cafe for a light lunch.
After lunch we will walk up to the Castle ruins and enjoy the view, fingers crossed for some sunshine for your photographs.
From here from here it is all downhill to Leigh-on-Sea station for your journey home!
Both stations are on the Fenchurch St line
There is the option to drive to the lunch venue, where there is parking, and a short walk to the castle.
