A Historical & Cultural Tour of Russian (Moscow & St Petersburg)

Discover these two exciting and intriguing cities in an eight night Russian adventure spending four nights each in Moscow and St Petersburg with an exhilarating train journey between the two!

Moscow is not only the capital but also the political and economic beating heart of the country exuding a powerful energy from its’ tumultuous history and unique architecture, past and present.

Our guided tours will take in all the main sites and more, including the Kremlin, Red Square, Gorky Park and, not forgetting, the strikingly beautiful metro system.

St Petersburg is a more elegant city, comprised of neo-classical palaces, waterways, baroque churches and boulevards and the perfect place for the arts to flourish (home of the Hermitage!). It is Russia’s cultural capital and has been voted the World’s leading cultural city destination for the last three consecutive years.

July is one of the best times to visit St. Petersburg during the White Nights Season, when the sun never sets and the city is alive 24 hours a day with festivals, activities, concerts and longer opening hours for museums, restaurants and shops.

We will also be able to experience the Peterhof fountains in their full flowing glory.

This trip has been tailor-made especially for our 45+ group by our fellow tour operator ‘Windows on the Wild’ (in association with their Russian agents) to give us a rare opportunity to discover these spectacular cities together as a small group.

Prices include: Return flights from London to Russia and a high speed train transfer between Moscow and St. Petersburg, 8 nights bed and breakfast accommodation, private transfers and sightseeing as listed in the itinerary below, with an English speaking guide.

We will be based in comfortable centrally located hotels in each city, both with restaurants, and ideal for a relaxing evening after a full day exploring, should you wish.

I will be on hand to accompany and guide you throughout with suggestions and recommendations for mealtimes…….and if there are any free moments to fill!
