Tuesday Eve with Di -Looking for London's Gaslights

Look a little closer (and up!) when you walk past London’s ubiquitous street lamps as there are still around 1,500 functioning gas lamps in London, lets see how many we can count. I cannot promise that we will catch the few lamplighters that look after the lamps in the act but we might spot their ladders as we go.

7pm meet at The Feathers, Broadway, Westminster for a quick drink and chat before we set off.

7:00 set off to look for our first lamp at Dean's Yard, Westminster. Then a walk along Bridcage walk and through St James Park takes to The Mall to see if we can guess which of the lampposts here are gas and which are electric.

Next we go past Trafalgar Square and on to Goodwin's Court, much loved of film makers and on to The Savoy to find our last lamppost a welcome drink in The Coal Hole before returning home.
