PICNIC LIKE A ROYAL IN THE BUCKINGHAM PALACE GARDENS

Let's take this great opportunity to get to know the Queen's surroundings and spend the afternoon together.

2.15 - 2.45 - Let's meet each other before we go to the Palace in Green Park, just outside Green Park Station where toilet facilities are provided. At the station look for the exit to "Green Park/Buckingham Palace".
After a short walk we'll get to the Gardens for security check and then we'll be free to enjoy the Gardens.

The Queen is opening Buckingham Palace’s garden to the public for the first time and we can’t afford to miss this chance and take our picnic to the next level. The largest private garden in London is home to 30 species of birds and 325 types of wild plants.

‘Visitors will be free to explore a route through the garden that encompasses the 156-metre Herbaceous Border, plane trees planted by and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and views of the island and its beehives across the 3.5-acre lake.’
It added: ‘Features in the south-west of the garden, including the Rose Garden, summer house and wildflower meadow, can be viewed through one of the guided tours that will run each day.’

To really make a day of it, there will be food stalls dotted around the 39 acres of land to provide refreshments. Visitors can also bring picnics with them, however, alcohol isn’t permitted.

These are special prices for groups and includes our Meetup fee.

If you cannot go on the day it will be your responsibility to find someone to take your ticket.

You will be asked to prove your age so please remember to bring along your Freedom Pass, driving licence or similar
