DESCRIPTION

Consecrated by the Bishop of London in June 1840 Brompton Cemetery is Grade I Listed on the Historic England Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. There is much to see with the architecture (all Grade II listed!), gothic style tombs and vast array of wildlife in this huge 39-acre open space in the middle of West London. Nestled among the spectacular trees and undergrowth are over 35,000 gravestones and monuments alive with the amazing stories of all the people buried there including Emmeline Pankhurst & Sir Samuel Cunard - it is even believed Beatrix Potter used names from the tombstones for her characters.

This is a private tour exclusively for us and will last approximately two hours

Price: £20 per person - payment in advance only.

Places are limited to twelve people.

I will be in the café from 1.15pm if you fancy lunch, or a little light refreshment before the tour starts at 2.30pm.

How to get there:
The North Gate is off Old Brompton Road (the South Gate at the other end is just off Fulham Road).

The closest Tube stations are West Brompton on the District line and Earl’s Court on the District and Piccadilly lines. Both are close to the North Gate.

Several buses serve the local area, including the 14, 74, 190, 211, 328, 414, 430, C1 and C3.
