Enfield Lock Station to Chingford Plain { Stage 18 of the London Loop}.

Come with me on an enjoyable and picturesque walk from Enfield Lock Station to Chingford Plain. {walking distance 4.5 miles}.

We will meet at 11 am at Enfield Lock Station and at 11.10 am start our walk.

Our walk will take us along Turkey Brook, Enfield Lock, crossing over a few bridges until we reach Seward Marsh Nature Reserve {as image above}

Once through the Reserve we will stop for a hot drink at The Netherhouse Cafe.

After our hot drink, we will begin our accent into the Sewardstone Hills, rossing over a field, climbing up a cinder track, walking up a hill till we reach Gilwell Park {The Scouts Association National Headquarters}.

We will have lunch at Gilwell Park, sitting on the grass there {please bring something to sit on}.

After lunch we will make our way to Chingford Plain navigating some woodland paths.

At Chingford Plain we will make our way to a bar called The Front Room opposite Chingford Station with trains going to Liverpool Street Station.

£5 meet up fee payable on arrival.

If you have a knee problem or walk slow, this walk is definitely not for you.

This walk can be quite tricky in parts and it is advisable that you wear the right footwear and bring walking poles if you have them as some of the woodland hills are quite steep, when walking down and up them.

COV'D 19 regulations will apply so please bring along a mask, and hand sanitiser with you.

Please advise me at least 24 hrs before, so some one else can take your place.

Failure to do so may result in when you sign up for another of my walks, that you will be moved to not going.
