ANYONE FOR A FLUTTER? AN EVENING AT THE RACES IN WINDSOR

It’s the start of the flat racing season at Windsor and the famous Monday evening meetings are a fun and pleasant opportunity to indulge in this royal pastime, arriving by boat to the fabulous riverside location with Windsor Castle as the backdrop.

This is an entertaining social outing with no previous gambling experience necessary, however, if you do fancy a flutter, I will show you how simple it is to play.

You may prefer to choose sitting and sipping on a leisurely drink whilst people (and race!) watching, or enjoy the chance to get close up and personal with the jockeys and thoroughbred horses wandering around the parade ring and winners enclosure with or without getting fully immersed in the excitement of the races. The choice will be yours!

We will have the advantage of being located in the Heidseick Club Members’ Enclosure which enjoys a prime location next to the winning post with all the premium benefits of the course, including a dedicated large screen for viewing all the racing action and access to top bars and all dining areas.

There are 7 races, the first one is at 16.55 and the last is at 20.10. The gates open a couple of hours before racing starts so I propose we arrive a little earlier to take advantage of the atmosphere.

The racecourse is offering special concessions to get the opening meeting off to a flying start, which make it a more affordable experience.

Meet: 15.00 at Windsor Promenade Riverside, Windsor town centre (at the bottom of River Street).

Trains run from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside or from London Paddington to Windsor & Eton Central via Slough, both are only a short walk away from our meeting point.

(Return trips from the racecourse to Windsor Promenade start at the beginning of the penultimate race and finish approximately 45 minutes after the last race).
