Eltham Station to North Greenwich via Oxleas Wood & Thames Path. Full day

Details

This is a lovely, varied and interesting walk of approximately 8 miles, with lots of views well worth the climb.

We will meet at 10.45 am outside Eltham Station and leave at 11 am to make our way to the Cafe in Oxleas Wood for coffee. and to use the loos there .

After coffee we will make our way following the Green Chain through Oxleas Wood past Severndroog Castle to Woolwich Common, and through to Hornfair.

Then on to Charlton Park and Charlton House where there is a Cafe where we will have lunch { or bring our own}

After lunch we will follow the Green Chain through 2 more parks, down to the Thames Barrier {image above} where we pick up the Thames Path,
down to North Greenwich and have a drink in one of the many bars in the 02.

With North Greenwich Station where you can get the Jubilee Line or one of the many buses that go to this station.

£5 meet up fee payable on the day, please have the right change.

If you have a knee problem or walk slow this walk is not for you.

We will be doing a lot of climbing through woods and on paths.

Please advise me at least 24 hrs before, so some one else can take your place.
