Brick Lane - A Walk of Two Halves.

Immigrants and street art, curry houses and salt beef bagels

During the first half of this walk, we will talk about the many immigrant groups that make up this community. Many of these groups have escaped dire circumstances in their homelands, and now call this lane “home.”

 They bought with them their culture, their way of life, their religions & most of all, their mouth watering foods…! Even though they may have moved on, their legacy remains…

Everything changes in the next half of the tour - and the legacies make way for today’s hipster crowd. Restaurants, vintage shops, street art and galleries now make up Brick Lane making it one of the trendiest spots.. Properties that once could have been bought for peanuts now sell for millions…

Our walk takes in all of this as well as a location for an iconic London film and one or two off the beaten track surprises. We finally end the walk at the home of the finest bagels in the world…!
