Evening on Albertopolis, Victorian London with TIM

In this week’s talk, Tim will explore the history and architecture of the Victorian era. He will concentrate on Albertopolis, the area of South Kensington, packed full of museums which is the legacy the Great Exhibition of 1851. This was the Brain Child of Albert, husband to Victoria, and represented the high point of Victorian power and influence. It’s a fascinating story which illustrates the Victorians many strengths but also their foibles.

We ask that everyone is logged in to the virtual cafe by 18:35 for a prompt start

At about 19.15, Tim will ask for questions and we will have time to chat with him before the session ends.

WHEN SHOULD I JOIN?

Please join as promptly as possible from about 6.25 so Tim can make a prompt start at 6.35. However, latecomers are still welcome
