History evening on the west side of the City of London with Paul

Paul Sinclair, 45+ Not Grumpy historian will be taking us up the west side of the City of London from Chancery Lane to Cannon Street station. On our route we will look at one of London's oldest buildings, a royal palace, one of London's lost rivers, a castle built to keep control of the city's residents, an area where no one ruled and two medieval monasteries. All this and the Temple too. We'll see sites, ruins, remnants and actual buildings too.

We ask that everyone is logged in to the virtual cafe by 18:35 for a prompt start.

As you all know, Paul is a fun, interesting and knowledgeable raconteur. He'll be presenting for around 40 minutes London, supported by illustrations and photographs.

At about 19.15, Paul will ask for questions and we will have time to chat with him before the session ends.

WHEN SHOULD I JOIN?

Please join as promptly as possible from about 6.25 so Paul can make a prompt start at 6.35. However, latecomers are still welcome
