DESCRIPTION

Every 2 weeks we have a roster of 2 speakers who will each give a short inspiring talk on their topic of choice - live!

This weeks speakers are:

SORAYA ABDEL-HADI
Soraya is a sustainability professional, award-winning writer (she was just awarded Lonely Planet's Sustainability Writer of the Year award), artist and advocate for women and diversity in the UK outdoors. She believes in taking a holistic approach to making the world a better place, and writes about sustainability, nature and travel.

DAVID PEARL
David is a performer, author, director and public speaker. His book "Will there be Donuts" was included by The Times in their list of "top 10 Summer Reads of 2013.

He is the founder of Opera Circus, Impropera (an improvising opera company that invents operas on the spot from the audiences' suggestions) and Street Wisdom (an urban educational, volunteer-led movement now active in more than 20 countries.)

There will be an opportunity to ask questions after they speak and a quick 5 minute break to grab a cuppa (or something stronger) in between speakers.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Due to the themes explored in some of the talks we'd suggest a minimum attendee age of 16 but at parent's discretion.

YOUR HOST IS EMMA LAWTON

Emma is one of the co-founders of More Human, the team working with your community to bring in-person and virtual events to you. Emma is also a speaker and blogger and loves doing stand-up comedy.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

You won't need to bring anything. Just turn up with an open mind and enjoy!

PARTICIPATION

Please turn on your audio and video when you arrive, just to say hello so we know who you are. Then if you would prefer to turn your video off after that, please feel free to do so.
