A history of Soho - from square to cool - 1670s to 1970s

I am repeating this popular event so please join me on a stroll through Soho and a snapshot of how the area began in the 17th Century with the building of Soho Square. We will look at how Soho became the place to be for the aristocracy and life on the 'the other side of the tracks'. Our journey will take us through 300 years of life in Soho.

HIGHLIGHTS WILL INCLUDE:
★ the building of Soho Square in honour of Charles II
★ life in an 18th Century workhouse
★ cholera outbreak and the pioneering work of Dr John Snow
★ 20th Century innovations and icons
★ and so much more...an interesting fun day for all regardless of weather!

11.30 - 13.30 Historical circular stroll with Jean - max 3 miles
13.30 Lunch together at a nearby pub (tbc)
15.00 ish finish in Soho
