Let's visit the most fantastic scenic sites, supping on Sicily's fantastic cuisine and fine wines on a completely new itinerary to our previous trips to the island.

Staying four nights in a family-run hotel in Trapani, a charming ancient port city rich in art and architecture and set on a peninsula of land surrounded by the sea on both sides, we will embark on daily excursions to explore both the city, fantastic ancient sites and the beautiful, coastal hinterland.

Tuesday 9th May
You will be greeted at Palermo airport on arrival and transported for a visit to the magnificent world famous UNESCO Norman Cathedral in all it’s splendour at Monreale, one of the most prestigious locations in Western Sicily with a panoramic view overlooking Palermo.
After a light lunch we will head to Trapani to check in to have a relaxing afternoon (siesta?!) before taking an early evening stroll around the town before enjoying dinner together in a local trattoria.

Wednesday 10th May
Today will be spent exploring the beautiful, rugged coastline around the north-west promontory of Trapani, beginning with an enchanting scenic coastal walk around the foot of the Cofano mountain followed by a picnic lunch at the beach.
After lunch we will continue stop en route for a visit to the stunning ancient caves of Scurati whilst making our way towards the picturesque resort of San Vito lo Capo reputed to be the most spectacular beach on the island with also one of the best gelaterias! We will return to Trapani later afternoon for a short rest before supper.

Thursday 11th May
After breakfast we will take a drive inland for a guided walk around one of the most beautiful hilltop villages in Sicily, Salemi -oozing history, heritage and hidden treasures.
