Once the playpen of the wealthy, then a Bohemian artists area and today a wonderful mix of a bit of everything, Fitzrovia has maintained its special edgy, off-the-beaten track appeal and is probably the most underrated area of central London.

Here we find aristocrats, writers, musicians, anarchists, a workhouse, a toy museum and a male brothel.....! All this and a little old building called the BT Tower.

It's fascinating, architecturally diverse and absolutely delightful - one of my favourite areas to grab a coffee or a pint.
