Wanstead walk with St Mary's Church Open Day
A repeat to coincide with St Mary's Church Open Days St Mary's Church Wanstead was used for the filming of Taboo and more recently Vanity Fair, today we will be able to see inside the church and extensive graveyard and over the wall to where Wanstead House once stood.
11:00 meet in St George the pub opposite the station for coffee and a chat.
11:30 Starting at Wanstead station walking along St Mary's Ave, land once owned by the estate, to St Mary's Church which will be open today.
Then to Wanstead Golf club which was the stable block to the grand house
We will retrace our steps to The George for lunch.
