A wonderful, wonderful area! At times it's like being in a time-warp where you find yourself in Ye Olde London. Here you will find religion, radicalism and ruffians......and lots of pubs!
An area once religious , Clerkenwell has gone through many changes over the past few hundred years, from being an area of radicals and rookeries to one of architects and artists. We will see where Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger go pickpocketing and a church where a mate of Dick Turpin is buried. But its not just Clerkenwell! We will walk from this wonderful , often undiscovered area of London towards the Angel at Islington, where we'll see a housing estate that was once a spa, an unusual Grade One listed building and meet a clown. And of course, as ever on the types of evening, we finish near a pub.
