Erith to Falconwood following The Green Chain via Lesnes Abbey Ruins.

Come with me on an enjoyable and picturesque walk starting at Erith Rail Station and ending up at Falconwood Rail Station following the Green Chain.

The walking distance is between 7-8 miles.

We will meet at Erith rail station at 10.45 am and leave at 11 am, to go for a hot drink and a loo stop in The Tropical Cafe in Erith.

After our hot drink we will start our walk which will take us over a bridge, through a park and along some streets.

Our walk will then take us mainly off the streets and along many woodland paths, some of these are quite steep and it is advisable to wear walking boots, and bring with you walking poles if you have them.

Lunch will be at Lesnes Abbey Ruins { as above image} where there is a small Cafe where you can buy paninis, sandwiches, cakes or you can bring your own lunch.

This will also be our toilet stop.

{For those who want to end the walk here, Abbey Wood Station is less than 10 minutes walk with trains going to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross & Cannot Street Stations.}

After lunch we will follow the Green Chain to The Falcon Pub and a well earned drink.

With the Falcon Pub being right opposite Falconwood Station where trains go to Victoria, London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Cannon Street Stations.

If you have a knee problem or walk slow, this walk is definitely not for you.

We will be following COV'D 19 procedures, so please ensure you have a mask and hand gel with you, and if you are feeling unwell do not turn up.
Social distancing will be on this walk.

If you sign up and do not turn up, without informing me, do not sign up for any more of my walks, as you will be moved to not going.
