Paul's Friday Walk Turnham Green to Kew Bridge, via leafy Chiswick

If you have never come along to this meetup, you should, as it is becoming one of my most popular ones, and is certainly worth doing.
Join me for a lovely walk starting at Turnham Green station (on the District line) exploring one of London’s greenest suburbs.
We will meet at The Trinity Cafe at 10.45 am, leaving at 11. 15 am {come out of Turnham Green station, turn right and walk just a few 100 yards the Cafe is on the corner.}
We will walk along a Common, a Green, and go to Chiswick House & Gardens {as image above}.
Lunch will be at the Cafe in Chiswick House & Gardens or bring your own.
After we come out of the Gardens we will go through a cemetery before reaching charming Old Chiswick by the Thames.
We embark on a long loop of the river familiar to fans of the Oxbridge Boat Race. Looking across to Barnes, Mortlake and Kew on the opposite bank, we find our way past meadows, sports fields and boathouses, a world away from the bustling streets earlier.
After a total walk of about 6 miles, our finishing point is an excellent multi-roomed pub by Kew Bridge, which has a spacious attractive garden if the weather is kind to us.
Next-door are Kew Bridge station and bus routes heading back to Turnham Green and beyond.
£5 meet up fee to be paid on arrival.
Please wear the correct footwear, as some of the paths can get muddy.
If you have a knee problem or walk slow this walk is definitely not for you.
COV'D 19 regulations will apply so please bring along a mask, and hand sanitiser with you.
If you cannot make this event please amend your RSVP
