Mid-week with Di - A walk to explore Fairlop Waters Country Park

FAIRLOP WATERS COUNTRY PARK - comfy clothes and shoes possibility of using the outside gym to work up an appetite! This is a fairly short walk on accessible pathways so would be suitable for less adventurous walkers.

The station only has one exit, so walk over the bridge if coming from Woodford or directly to the exit from the train from London platform. Please note only one out of four trains from London go to Barkingside, you need a Woodford train, you can change at Leytonstone if needed. 11:15 From the station we will walk to Fairlop Waters which is the largest country park and leisure facility, located in the London Borough of Redbridge. The outdoor facilities include a golf course, windsurfing & sailing lake and angling.

There are accessible pathways for all to enjoy this walk through the country park year round as well as a network of natural routes allowing to get closer to the wildlife.

The park also caters for the more adventurous visitors, they have the new High Ropes and Climbing facility suitable for all ages, the largest boulder park in the UK as well as a large natural play area.

After a walk around the park's attractions and large lake we will have lunch at Fiskardo the restaurant in the park a Greek restaurant at www.fiskardogreekrestaurant.co.uk/
