FULL DAY OUT- ISABELLA PLANTATION, RIVER THAMES, RICHMOND PARK

10:45 - 11:00 - Meet outside Richmond Underground Station.
11:00 - We set off for this ever so beautiful 7 miles walk by the Thames, Richmond Park and Isabella Plantation.
Isabela Plantation
The Isabella Plantation is a 40 acre woodland garden set within a Victorian woodland plantation planted in the 1830's. First opened to the public in 1953, it is best known for its evergreen Azaleas, Rhododendrons and Camellias.
After the visit to Isabella Plantation we’ll walk back to Pembroke Lodge, where we will have our deserved lunch or whatever you fancy. If you prefer you may take a picnic outside.
Pembroke Lodge is a unique Grade II listed Georgian Mansion situated at the highest point of the largest Royal Park within London. The building is steeped in history with many royal, political and military connections.
15:00ish - back to the station on another way, you might see something new that you haven't seen before.
IMPORTANT:
We'll walk at 2.5 miles p/h, The path is entirely flat;
- please bring enough water, snacks, and wear a comfortable walking shoes;
- if you cannot come, please change your RSVP to NO;
- please pay £6 cash on the day of the walk.
