Views of St. Pauls

This is a new meet up. Which Sonja will be leading.
We will meet at 10.45 am at The Sir John Hawkshaw { which on the forecourt of Cannon St Station} for a hot drink, at 11.15 am we will start our walk.
This walk includes a short stretch of Thames Path which has been closed for 20 years but re-opened to the public in March.
It also takes in a number of 'pocket parks'. This was a project by the Mayor of London that ran during 2013-2015 to create more than a 100 parks across 26 London boroughs.
Pocket parks can be anything from community orchards to edible bus stops. We won't see anything quite so exotic on our walk but, bearing in mind that most of the pocket parks in the City tend to be old churchyards, the 10 parks included in our walk manage to provide quite a varied show.
There is not a great deal of walking involved, less than three miles, but the walk will take take up to two hours to complete in order to give each pocket park the attention it deserves. Be prepared for a delight or two! { including the roof top terrrace over looking St Pauls.
After we have finished we will go back to The Sir John Hawkshaw at Cannon St Station for lunch.
Meet up fee £6 {please have the right change}
Please advise me at least 24 hrs before, so some one else can take your place.
