REGENT'S PARK AND PRIMROSE HILL WALK AND PICNIC

Let's walk this gorgeous royal park and be marvelled by the wonderful display of roses in Queen Mary's Garden, climb the 63 meter little Primrose Hill and more...
The 395 acres park was named after the prince who later became King George IV. He ruled as Prince Regent for 10 years (1810-1820) while his father George III was too ill to go about his kingly business but it was only open to the public in 1830's.
The park is nestled in two boroughs- The Broad Walk, the north to the east of this is Camden, and to the west is Westminister.
It only became the Regent's Park after John Nash landscaped it in the early 19th century.
Opened in 1935 Queen Mary's Garden is London's largest collection of roses with approximately 12,000 roses planted within the gardens. There are 85 single variety beds on display, including one which is home to our very own 'Royal Parks' rose. Examples of most rose varieties, from the classics to the most modern English roses, are present in the gardens.
