Broadstairs to Margate including visiting The Turner Gallery

This is a new walk, and if you have not come on it, suggest if you are able you do.

Come with me on an enjoyable & picturesque walk from Broadstairs to Margate walking distance 7 miles.

We will meet at Kope and Loco 136 High St {as map below} at 11.35 am, to stop to have a hot drink.

After our hot drink, we will make our way to Margate.

Lunch will be at the Captain Digby Pub {www.captaindigby.co.uk}
Please advise if you want lunch or bring your own.

After lunch we will carry on our walk to Margate and The Turner Gallery {as image above.}

Then to The Mechanical Elephant {Wetherspoons} for a drink.

With Margate Station 5 minutes walk away}

Train Travelling Outward.

It is advised that if you are travelling from Victoria you get 9.40 am train, and from Bromley South 9.57 am train.

Return
5.56 pm train from Broadstairs Station arriving at Bromey South at 7.32 pm and Victoria 7.49 pm.

For those with Oyster cards , Over 60 or Freedom passes you need to get a return from Bromley South. I found booking through trainline.com was cheaper.

Train Travelling Outward.

It is advised that if you are travelling from ST Pancras International you get 10.12 am train, and from Stratford International 10.19 am train.

Return
6.01 pm train from Broadstairs Station arriving at Stratford International at 7.14 pm and St Pancras International at 7.21 pm.

For those with Oyster cards , Over 60 or Freedom passes you need to get a return from Stratford Internationa. I found booking through trainline.com was cheaper.

If you have a knee problem or walk slow this walk is definitely not for you.
