Medieval Sandwich, ancient Cinque port. Day out with Tina

Medieval Sandwich, ancient Cinque port. Day out with Tina

12.20 PM - 12.37 PM Arrive at Sandwich from St. Pancras International
We are meeting at the station and making our way to a nearby pub for quick drinks/lunch.

How did Sandwich get its name? How the town has adopted over the centuries? We will embark on an enjoyable walk for around 4 miles.
In the medieval period Sandwich was a major port that welcomed pilgrims, launched armies, and hosted royalty. By the sixteenth century however the town was left behind, almost frozen in time.

Come whatever the weather is....as we will have lots to do and see...
As it will be light till late and we will end up with drinks together, so book an open return train perhaps a train after 19.00 ...
Please email me so I know which train you're coming on
Best get your train tickets earliest whilst still cheap Open return not too expensive either.
Fee: £10 for the day
