Tim’s History of London. Walk 4 The Great Fire

This is the fourth walk in the series illustrating London’s history. We look at the Great Fire which transformed London from a medieval city to a great modern European city.
Walking in the footsteps of Samuel Pepys we trace the fire’s terrifying path from Pudding Lane to Pie Corner. We look at its context and its consequences for London, Britain’s politics and society.

We meet in the lobby at Citizen M hotel next to Tower Hill station at 10.45 for a chat and coffee and start walking at 11.15. We end in a great pub around 1.30.
