Paul's Wednesday picturesque walk from Wimbledon Park to Richmond Bridge

Paul's Wednesday picturesque walk from Wimbledon Park to Richmond Bridge

Details

This is one of my favourite walks, and one of my most popular ones and the distance is 7 miles, and is stage 6 of the capital ring.

We will meet at Wimbledon Park at 10.45am and at 11am, leave the tube station and we will be walking into Wimbledon Park where we will walk alongside a large boating lake. {image below} from there we will make our way to the windmill at Wimbledon Common where we will stop for coffee.

From there we will walk through the common woodland at the end crossing the Kingston by Pass into Richmond Park where will stop for lunch { you can either bring sandwiches or use the café or restaurant in the Park}. {image below of a deer in Richmond Park}

After lunch we will come out of the park and make our way to the Thames path at Petersham, following the Thames Path we will end up at a pub called The White Cross near Richmond Bridge.

This is an ideal opportunity for people taking photographs as the scenery varies during the course of the walk.

It is advisable to wear boots at it can get muddy. If you walk slow or have a knee problem is walk is not for you. Paul 07850 675739 {this is not a smart phone} Cost for this meet up is £5.
