An Actual Walk around the Angel with Historian Paul
It's an area with a fascinating and varied history.
A chance to find out why it's called the Angel, to hear of its story of dairy herds on their way to Smithfield, of the Cathedral of the Green - the heart of entertainment in Islington in the early 20th century, Gracie Fields' house, the country's greatest exhibition hall where queen Victoria's dog won Crufts, the model flats for the working man and how Sadler's Wells got its name way back in the 1600s.
We'll meet on the benches just outside Angel station at 11 am and finish back there two hours later.
The walk will be Covid safe.
