EDINBURGH is a wonderful city at any time but at festival time becomes something very special; the world’s largest festival of music, theatre, comedy, talks and events. There are hundreds of shows and events every day from 10.00 am until after midnight plus all the buzz of a cosmopolitan city with a rich history and a wide range of bars and restaurants.

Everybody should do the festival at least once in their life. Getting accommodation in Edinburgh at festival time is difficult and usually very expensive. We have been fortunate to get an excellent deal from Napier University. Single en suite rooms of hotel quality in an apartment for 8 people and we have 2 apartments just for us.
Edinburgh Festival particularly the fringe is overwhelming if don't know your way around. Everybody will have their own interests and wish to go to different events and shows. As an experienced festival visitor, I will be on hand to help you get the most out of the experience.

On any day there will be over two hundred theatre, comedy, and music events. These mostly last about an hour and so if you are very keen you can do 3 shows a day followed by late-night cabaret. Equally, you can spend time exploring the city and even do some country walking. It is up to everybody to pace themselves.

The weeks holiday costs £597 and includes

• Single en suite bedroom in an 8 person apartment for 7 nights.
• A large kitchen and lounge for socializing and meals if you wish to eat in. (Breakfast supplies and other stuff can be bought in local shop minutes away)
• An orientation walk on the first morning with Alan.
• If people want a break from the festival, I will organise a couple of walks around the green edges of the city.

Given the price of accommodation during festival time, this is excellent value.

£147 non refundable deposit is required on booking with the balance payable in June.
If you can't go, it will be up to you to find a replacement.

The travel details will not be available until nearer the date but the best way is by train from Kings Cross. This is faster and more comfortable than flying. We will coordinate travel when tickets become available. Based on last year’s prices the cost will be approximately £95.00 return.
