Arrive Salzburg 11th September
Pick up from Salzburg airport by Alan.

Transfer, to Salzburg city accommodation in a Palace which stars as the ‘Home to the Von Trapp Family’ on the lake in the film, Sound of Music
The walk along the canal or through the woods into the centre of Salzburg is beautiful as are the views up to the Fortress on the top of the hill that is iconic to Salzburg!

Time to unpack, look around before dinner in Salzburg city

12th September - Wednesday
After breakfast, we will go on a wander…and have lunch out.
Afternoon transfer from Salzburg to the Chalet in our own minibus.

(Chalet Gove is a beautifully restored Alpine village house opposite a gorgeous church and surround by stunning mountains.
Maria is a wonderful chef and all the food is home cooked. Only our group will be in the Chalet exclusively.

There is a communal kitchenette where one can have as much tea/coffee and cakes as desired.

Wine is served with the 3 course dinners.)

Late afternoon stroll around the village before dinner.

Evening home cooked supper together….with some local wine!

13th September - Thursday
Transfer to cablecar to go up the mountain for a walk with stunning views.
Walk down the mountain. perhaps!!
Lunch in a local ‘hut’
Return home in time for home-cooked supper together

14th September - Friday
Transfer to another area for a beautiful valley stroll with stunning scenery.
Picnic lunch
Afternoon tea/coffee and home-made cakes
Return home for supper together

15th September - Saturday
We will go to Tamsweg, a small town for local feel of an Austrian town with its castle, church and delicious cake shops!
Valley walk of about 6-8 miles…with the possibility of opting out along the way…

16th September - Sunday
Free to enjoy more of the area…transfers available
Local train rides, or visit to outdoor pool complex or cable car ride or ….so much to choose from….

17th September - Monday
Transfer to beautiful valley and lake
Chair lift with gorgeous views…walk with Alan approximately 6 miles.
Lunch out in local lodge
Supper together

18th September - Tuesday
Another stunning Alpine walk ….
Another wonderful home cooked 3 course supper from Maria and games in the lounge…local wine tasting.

19th September - Wednesday
As the flight is late we have a whole day and depending on weather will enjoy a beautiful drive back into Salzburg airport

There are 6 rooms in total and depending on shared and single occupancy, there is only a maximum of 8 for the trip as we like to keep space in the minibus for everyone for maximum comfort.
