Details

Come with me on an interesting 12 mile walk from Erith to North Greenwich following The Thames Path.

We will meet at 10.30 am outside Erith Station and at 10.45 am, leave to have a hot drink and a loo stop in The Tropical Cafe.

After our hot drink we will make our way to The Thames Path.

As we walk along The Thames Path we will pass Crossness Pumping Station {as image above}

Built in 1865 by Sir Joseph Bazalgette as part of Victorian London’s sewerage system, Crossness Pumping Station is a Grade 1 Listed industrial heritage site and a masterpiece of 19th-century engineering, architecture, and design.​

Lunch will be in Woolwich at The Dial Arch Pub {Youngs} or you can bring you own.

If you feel you have walked enough, Woolwich Arsenal Station is 10 minutes away with trains going to London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross Stations.

There is also the DLR to Bank via Canning Town,

For those that want to carry on we will have a drink in Cafe Rouge at North Greenwich, where North Greenwich Station is a few minutes away where you can get the Jubilee Line and local buses.

If you have a knee problem or walk slow, this walk is definitely not for you.

We will be following COV'D 19 procedures, so please ensure you have a mask and hand gel with you, and if you are feeling unwell do not turn up.
Social distancing will be on this walk.
