Shapes of Water

Dear all,

Join me on an enjoyable walk from Crystal Palace to Beckenham Place Park, led by my friend Sonja.

The 8-mile-walk is called ‘Shapes of Water’. Why, you may ask, well, because we will walk near many different kinds of waterways.

First, there will be a cluster of lakes, then a short canal, followed by a duck pond, a river swelling into a lake, a small waterfall and, in the final park, a gently meandering river and a wild swimming lake.

£5 meet up fee on arrival {please have the right change}.

We will meet at the cafe in Crystal Palace station at 10.30 am for a hot drink.

After our hot drink at 11 am we will start our walk which will take us through Crystal Palace Park, followed by Betts Park, South Norwood Country Park {as image above}, Croydon Park Recreation Ground, where we will have our lunch break and use the toilets. {Please bring lunch}.

After lunch we will continue to Kelsey Park and we will be ending the walk in Beckenham Place Park, by the Stables Café.

With Beckenham Hill Rail Station about 5 minutes away; , and Beckenham Junction Rail & Tram station 15 minutes.
