Circular Walk from Seven Sisters Country Park {9 miles approx}

Circular Walk from Seven Sisters Country Park {9 miles approx}

This is a new walk.

Come with Paul and Kevin on this lovely circular walk from Seven Sisters Country Park Centre (about 9 miles.}

The walk starts at the Country Park Centre { where we stop for a loo break, and aa takeway hot drink if we want one }near Exceat and heads a little way North. We then head east through the Friston forest on forest tracks and then on paths across fields and a few stiles to East Dean where we stop for lunch'

East Dean is a picturesque village, with a village green, old pub (The Tiger) and a couple of other places for lunch,, {if you want lunch at the pub this needs to be booked {please advise if you want lunch}
or bring your own.

After lunch, we follow foot and bridle paths South towards Birling gap. Birling gap offers good views of the Seven Sisters cliffs.

Where we can go for a loo and coffee break.

We will follow the cliff path along the Seven sisters towards Cuckmere Haven before turning back inland following paths by the river Cuckmere back to the Country Park Centre.

The afternoon views are spectacular but walking will be more strenuous than the morning. Walking shoes or good trainers should be adequate for the walk, but I would suggest taking a walking pole if you might find the downhill sections of the cliffs worrisome.

We will get the bus back to Seaford and have a drink in The Old Plough which is 3 minutes walk away from Seaford Station.
