Dickens, Docks and The Mayflower - An actor led walking tour of Rotherhithe

We have a well known Rotherhithe character doing a walk exclusively for 45+ Not Grumpy. Tim Thomas is an actor, singer, photographer and writer. And he does regular walking tours of his neighbourhood (and mine), Rotherhithe.
Charles Dickens frequented what used to be Rotherhithe’s dark and dangerous streets to see poverty up close. Rotherhithe’s Old Mortuary figures in the first chapter of his last novel, Our Mutual Friend. And in 1620 The Mayflower set sail from Rotherhithe Village and changed history.
Please join us to hear a great raconteur guide us through my favourite part of London.
The tour will be 90 minutes starting at Bermondsey Station (Jubilee) and ending near Rotherhithe Station. I will then take anyone who would like to join me for a drink or some food at one of Rotherhithe’s pubs.
